Stage & Production Manager

Job Role:
- Stage and Production Manager (SPM) works under the Cruise Director who schedules production shows; live theatre performances and various activities around the ship. SPM is however responsible for all the entertainment or technical related features on board.
- SPM and team must also carry out regular equipment and venue maintenance on all entertainment technical areas to ensure a safe working environment for acts and/or crew to perform.
- During production shows or any live entertainment within the theatre venue, SPM will act as stage manager as well as make any final safety decisions regarding the shows and performers.
- SPM will need to provide on the job training, appraisals, evaluations, disciplinary actions and to be able to deal with any issues/conflicts within their teams.
- SPM will manage a large team that involves technical stage staff; technicians and production cast.
- SPM will have policy guidelines to follow and will need to be capable and have previous experience dealing with ordering and budgets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or qualification in theatre stage management, or large technical venues.
- Preferred experience and knowledge of international technical productions.
- To apply for this position previous experience of applied knowledge of technical equipment, automated flying, dance and music.
Contract Length:
- 4 months full contract, 8 weeks off (paid) upon completion of full contract.
