Broadcast Technician / Videographer

Job Role:
Broadcast technician main role is to film, edit and produce footage of various guest activities to highlight their cruising experience; daily morning show which will be filmed in different locations around the ship and features the Cruise Director, Activities Manager and guest speakers explaining and promoting all the activities and events happening for that day on board; Also any required filming for any requested revenue area or featured event.
Requirements:
- 2-3+ years TV production and/or broadcasting experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in broadcasting/technical or similar related qualification.
- Candidates must be able to use and edit both linear and non-linear production systems in numerous formats such as Beta SP, Beta SX, MPEG, SVHS and more.
- Candidates must be confident and able to use both Apple and Windows computer software and have previous experience working with of computer products such as PhotoShop, After Affects and Illustrator.
- Extensive knowledge of: broadcast, video productions and technical television procedure production, producing, directing, shooting and editing of feature length, short formats, commercial and documentary style programming.
- Preferred understanding and experience within satellite uplink and downlink methods and signal tracking at sea.
- Previous experience within computer procedures in areas such as: TV programming and directing; call and switch live multiple camera programs and scheduling and traffic.
Contract Length:
- 6 months and 3 weeks, 6-8 week holiday/vacation on completion of full contract.
